Paseo Pointe Dual Language Academy (PPDLA) and M.C. Cash Elementary School (MCC) have been named 2025 Arizona Schools to Watch, a prestigious designation awarded by the National Middle Grades
Forum.
This recognition highlights schools that demonstrate excellence in academic achievement, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and strong organizational structures. Both schools underwent a rigorous application process, including staff surveys, self-studies, and a site visit from an evaluation team.
The visiting team praised PPDLA’s well-rounded approach to student development, supportive learning environment, and diverse extracurricular opportunities, while MCC was commended for its commitment to breaking down barriers, setting high academic standards, and prioritizing the social-emotional well-being of its students.
This honor is particularly momentous as PPDLA is the first school in Arizona to receive this designation, and both schools will be recognized at the 2025 National Schools to Watch Conference in Washington, D.C., this June. The dedication of school leaders, staff, parents, and community partners has been instrumental in fostering an environment where students thrive. At the conference, PPDLA and MCC leaders will share their expertise with educators nationwide, showcasing the incredible work being done to shape bright futures for their students.
Congratulations to both schools for this well-earned recognition!
