Eight Laveen schools were recognized by PBISAZ for installing and sustaining Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems to improve the academic and behavioral outcomes of students. All eight received the highest level of award, Level 4, which recognizes schools with fidelity at all levels. The Laveen School District has more Level 4 awards than any other district in Arizona.
Congratulations to Laveen, M.C. Cash, Vista, Cheatham, Desert Meadows, Paseo Pointe, Rogers Ranch and Estrella Foothills!
Each year one teacher from each school is selected to receive the district’s Excellence in Education Award. This prestigious award is given to those who attain high academic achievement for their students, provide exceptional service and leadership at their school, and make a positive difference outside of the classroom and in the community.
Congratulations to Paseo Pointe Elementary School, Sheri Givens

All Laveen students and their families are encouraged to join us on Thursday, August 3rd for Meet the Teacher Night.
Participants will receive their class assignments and have the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher, learn about the classroom, and gather any other information needed to start the 2023-2024 school year. Families are welcome to stop by their child’s school between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
The Laveen School District is transitioning to a new communications platform for the 2023-24 school year.
ParentSquare is a robust communications platform that combines tools such as email, text, classroom updates, sign-ups, scheduling, and updates into one easy-to-use platform.
Laveen families can download the app or log in to the dashboard. From there, you will see secure messages from your child’s teacher, classroom updates, classroom photo galleries, and school event calendars. You’ll be able to sign up for conferences and volunteer opportunities. If you have multiple children in our schools, you can see all these notifications at once or toggle between children to see relevant information for each individual child.

Curbside meal pickup is no longer offered due to the expiration of federal waivers that permitted this practice. Adult meals are available for purchase; breakfast is $2.50 and lunch is $3.50.
