ASBA Golden Bell Promise Award-2021

Paseo Pointe School is the recipient of the 2021 Golden Bell Promise Award for its Dual Language Spanish Immersion Program. The prestigious Golden Bell recognizes educational initiatives that have a proven record of achieving excellence. It is awarded annually by the Arizona School Boards Association. The school was formally recognized at a December statewide conference.

Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Systems-Gold Award, 2019
Paseo Pointe has been recognized with the PBISaz Gold Achievement Award. This award recognizes schools for successful implementation and measurable student outcomes with school-wide systems of Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS). Award levels are based on time participating in PBIS as well as measured student improvement.

PBIS Film Festival Winner, 2019
In addition to receiving the PBISaz Silver Achievement Award, Paseo Pointe received the PBISaz Film Festival Award. This award recognizes the captivating videos participating schools use to promote their positive behavior programs. Watch the video.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Kids Cooking Challenge, Marion Colum
Paseo Pointe student Marion Colum was one of four finalists in the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona 2019 Walk On! Kids Cooking Challenge.
This statewide competition invites kids between the ages of 9 and 12 to submit ideas for healthy side dish recipes. Recipes had to be original, include at least one fruit or vegetable, and be able to be prepared in 20 minutes or less. Marion’s dish was his “Healthy Salad” that was filled with broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, and carrots. Recipe submissions underwent a three-part scoring process and the top five finalists participated in a public tasting event at a Phoenix Suns home game. Chief Azul Scholar Award, Sariah Lewis
Paseo Pointe 5th grader Sariah Lewis is a recipient of the Gila River Indian Community’s Chief Azul Scholar Award. The Chief Azul Scholar Award is given to students who personify Chief Azul’s leadership and educational ability. Chief Azul was known for leading the tribe during a turbulent time, through Mexican jurisdiction, the Gadsden Purchase, and keeping the Gila River Indian Community from being relocated to Oklahoma.  Sariah, a member of the Akimel O’odham (Pima) tribe, was honored at a recent banquet held at the Vee Quiva Hotel and Casino’s Event Center. Justin J. Watt Foundation Grant
Paseo Pointe School is the recipient of an almost $6,000 grant from the Justin J. Watt Foundation for athletic equipment. Paseo was awarded the grant to provide activities that give children the opportunity to learn the basic character traits of accountability, teamwork, leadership, work ethic, and perseverance.
